The classical music of South India has a treasure of wonderful ragas (musical scales) and compositions. Among them is a collection of fascinating ragas with the name “Ranjani” as their suffix – such as Sri Ranjani, Megha Ranjani and Jana Ranjani. With numerous and exotic compositions, Ranjanis are pleasant, enjoyable & attractive and have enthralled music lovers for centuries.
RagaChitra Foundation brings you Ranjani Mala, an exquisite music concert, featuring soulful compositions in various Ranjani ragas. This unique and creative production is presented by a group of 4 to 6 professional musicians with rhythmic swaras and outstanding melodies. The instrumental music for the entire concert has been exclusively produced in tracks with a wide spectrum of instruments such as the grand piano, saxophone, veena, sitar, flute, strings and reverberating rhythms of drums, maracas and tambourine. In addition, the music also included South Indian percussions – the mridangam, ghatam, tavil, chende, kanjira and morsing. Awesome stereophonic hi-fi sound effects have been added to enhance the music.
With an amazing music, captivating chorus, digital rhythms and innovative visuals, Ranjani Mala is a unique, enjoyable and memorable concert.
Ranjani Mala has already been presented in many stages such as the Carnatic Music Festival 2007, Flushing Ganesh Temple, The Arch Studios and the Queens Library. The concert has received overwhelming appreciation from both music lovers and musicians!
A video projection (optional) played during the concert features colorful stills, visuals and short animations along with interesting info about the song that is being performed. A specially-designed hand out is also available with textual info and this may be distributed to the audience.
We invite organizations to schedule this one-of-a-kind musical event for the benefit of their members!

An exclusive website has been set up with concert info, sample audio and video. Organizers may also download flyer templates and pictures from the website for local marketing.
